Through co-ordinate project resources, optimize resource allocation, optimize operational processes, fine management, highly efficient communication and collaboration, we have shorten the drilling cycle drastically. With the application of batch drilling organization technique, 29 cluster wells group, 310 wells have been completed and total footage was up to 449,700 meters. For example, one well group in the Bohai bay, 13 wells have been drilled and completed, the total footage was 27,600 meters, which lasted 156 days, 21 days ahead of the design period.

Rotary steering tools and MWD instruments, optimize parameters, effective control of the well trajectory, have been successful used in special reservoir development. By now, we have completed 7 large displacement wells whose displacement exceeds more than 3000 meters, and also more than 140 horizontal wells. Such as:

In ZDC42 (HI) well, drilling TD was 4620m, vertical depth was 1,388m, horizontal displacement was 3,975m and horizontal displacement to vertical depth ratio was 2.86.

Zhao Dong platform has accomplished 24 wells of surface casing drilling work. The drilling depth is 6152.3m. Average ROP is 62.64m/h. The highest ROP is 234.75m/h. It has renewed world record at the time and the efficiency is twice as normal drilling.

The highest ROP on JDNP3-5 well, whose surface layer has used casing drilling technology, is 129.16m/h. It has shortened about 40% drilling time compared to normal drilling in surface layer.

With 8 years practices in the high-pressure sour gas field in the Middle East Area where the H2S content is more than 3000ppm, CPOE accumulated rich drilling experience through equipping the rig with high performance H2S equipment and facilities, developing the emergency program, optimize the drilling fluid and so on. With such measures, there is no H2S incidence to our people occurred and safe drilling was achieved. In addition, our technique was also successfully applied in many HPHT and High sour gas wells for CNOOC in China.
