Offshore Drilling

Since 2005, CPOE have provided safe and high efficient services for Apache China Corp., Roc Oil (BoHai), Anadarko, Husky, EDC, CNOOC, SINOPEC and PetroChina etc. in BoHai Bay, the Yellow Sea, the East China Sea, the South China Sea. We have drilled more than 1,200 wells for various clients.
- Drilling & completion for offshore well drilling w/large displacement
Surface casing batch drilling, cementing w/o curing period, wellhead quick installation, offline parallel operation, well trajectory control, friction reduction, horizontal well drilling fluids, etc, incorporating the material, technique, equipment, tools & efficient production mgt, which meet the requirement of high efficiency for displacement/horizontal wells, high trajectory control, unstable well bore, large torque & friction, hard to carry sand, casing centralization, etc. Comprehensive ROP over 50% higher than before.
Over 20 cluster well groups completed and over 300 wells completed home and abroad. For instance, one 24 cluster well group, 2.5m slot-to-slot distance, 6152m surface casing done in 13.6d, saved 24d compared with conventional methods @ max ROP 234.75m/hr.
C39H Max horizontal vs vertical ratio is 2.65:1 w/15.6d, completed well depth 4620, TVD 1357, horizontal displacement 3983m.

Reservoir navigation logging while drilling (LWD) allows accurate “geo-steering” – “Azitrack”
Pressure measurement LWD allows pressure readings taken w/o making separate logging run – “Testrak”

- Zhao Dong remains one of the most complex developments in the world
In 2002, CPOE signed drilling contract with Apache (Roc oil later) for drilling service in ZhaoDong block. So far, we have drilled more than 300 wells and made many drilling records in the past 14 years. many drilling technology were used in this project, it has been in production since 2003. There is a sixty slot platform with drilling facilities. To the end of May 2005, 41 wells have been drilled, there have been about 4 sidetracks, 2 recompletions and over 10 workovers. All production wells have ESPs installed as the method of artificial lift. Sand control completions are employed in all production wells. Drilling techniques have included extended reach wells, multi-zone frac-pack completions and drilling with casing. World records for drilling with casing were set on Zhao Dong rig.

- Shallow water Performance- EPD Projects(CNOOC)
In 2011, CPOE5 commenced EPD operation at well Y1, a directional exploratory well. 3,486m with 100% coring recovery and 50d drilling period.
- Deepwater Nature Gas Hydrate Extraction Project
In 2017, CPOE completed the hydrate extraction project in the south China sea on turnkey basis. The services included engineering design, execution plan, equipment selection, production preparation, drilling, completion, testing, logistics management etc....
This is the first time successfully to conduct hydrate extraction in shaly-sand reservoir, which marks the world’s longest period of continuous gas production (60 days) and Max. gas produced records (309,000 m3).
